I received the 1911 A1 Tac Ultra FS. Everything was in great working order. Firearmssuppliers gunshop kept me up to date on the status of my order. I wasn’t concerned at all they made sure I knew where my order was. Very satisfied with service. I will be back for more in the near future.

I received the gun very quickly and I love it. Recoil is very manageable, accuracy is as good as the shooter. I was hitting 1 liter bottles at 30 yrds. There was a small blemish in finish when I received it but I was too concernee so didnt say anything. Overall great gun ,great experience and I will buy another.

First off let me say that I really like the 1911’s made in the Philippines. I have had 1911’s made in the USA as well. If I had used my Colt Commander National Match as a reference to shooting all 1911’s I would never have owned another one. It looked nice but did not deliver in accuracy or shooting experience. Now to the pistol at hand. This TAC 10mm Rock Ultra FS is exactly what I had hoped for. It looks very nicely made. Fits in my hand well and shoots very nicely. Accuracy is very good for me anyway. The recoil using 180gr Armscor ammunition was far less than I had anticipated. I will be reloading 165gr HP ammunition shortly, the same I use for my .40 S&W pistols. Very pleasantly surprised by the lack of significant recoil. My .45 from Metro Arms has more wrist snap than this 10mm. Smooth slide action, smooth trigger pull, I really like the front fiber optic sight. It really pops in outdoor light and makes finding the sights very easy. Super happy I purchased this pistol and will be buying others made by RIA in the future as well.

I bought this 1911 pistol chambered in 10 mm hoping that the felt recoil will be lighter than my Glock G20. Well, I was right, it has lighter recoil because of a higher weight (not the recoil would be a big problem… it’s a bit higher than the one of a 1911 chambered in .45 ACP, easily manageable). As always Firearmssuppliers Gun Shop delivered promptly, fast service. I took the gun at the Range and shot 50 rounds of Magtech 10 mm. The gun worked perfectly, no malfunction of any kind. But each of my 5 rounds group was placed around 4-5 inches N-NW of the center of the bullseye. I didn’t have the narrow flat screwdriver to adjust the rear sight, so I did it when I was back home. I didn’t have a chance to return to the Range to shoot it after the adjustments were done but I suppose it should be OK now. I’m not an expert in handguns but I can say that this 1911 10 mm worth the investment and I would re-command it for quality/price.

First of all I’m very very impressed. I’ve been a fan of the 10mm since the late 80s . I carried a S&W 1076 and later a Glock 20 as a duty weapon for several years. I was impressed with both. In early 2000 I parted with these and have been regretful since. I decided that it was time to research another and decided a 1911 was the one to fit my desire. I’m not new to the 1911 as I’ve had a few in 45acp. I’ve fired a Colt Delta elite but those have skyrocketed in price. Actually the RIA offers a few more added features than the Colt. Of course in research one goes through and reads the reviews and tend to worry of the bad ones. The first thing I want to emphasize is when I received this firearm it was oiled in preservative for long term storage. You must CLEAN the firearm. I recommend complete disassembly or a good blasting of the frame with gun scrubber. In my disassembly of the slide I found even the firing pin channel contained thick oil. I truly believe most of the negative reviews of this pistol were due to a failure to clean it before heading out to the range. After my cleaning and proper lubrications I headed out to give it a try. At about 25 yards bench rest I fired a nice hand size group with a couple of low fliers (my own fault). I’m at about 200 rds now with no issues. I did have one instance of slightly slow to feed. I actually stopped to check to assure the round had chambered. I consider this part of the break in period of the recommended 500 rds. This is a beautiful pistol. I can’t find anything to criticize other than it only comes with one magazine. Stick with TAC magazines. Other negative reviews were the use of other lower price magazines. I ordered 2 from firearmssuppliers.com. All three work as one would want. A beautiful pistol with add ons that would make it a 1500 dollar plus purchase from other manufacturers. I’m extremely happy with my purchase and the shipping was fast as usual. Once again very very pleased. And Don’t forget. CLEAN it first

luv the gun. As usually buds did a get job in getting the firearm to me quickly. The firearm is aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well as the way it feels in your hand. If you like the way your 1911 feels when you hold it then your gonna loving the way this feels. You would not be able to tell the difference between the two. Here’s my only gripe. Glock gives you 3 mags when you buy their 10mm. Why does RIA only include one magizine with theirs? Two would be nice. So I won’t have to stop and reload load the mag everytime I unload it so often. Thanks firearmssuppliers.com for your great service and not to forget your fantastic customer service as well. Two thumbs up.
