Rock Island Armory ROCK Standard MS | 45 ACP compact size pistol is built in traditional 70-series design and delivered with our top quality production and engineering standards. This pistol is chambered in 45 ACP with a 3.50” button rifled barrel supported by a full length guide rod. Smooth-angled, snag-free style allows for quick draw in fast need situations.
Includes a low profile angled rear sight along with skeletonized hammer and trigger with adjustable over travel stop and GI safety. The Rock Standard is finished with a tough parkerzied matte coating and comes with checkered rubber grips. True to all Rock Island 1911s, the Rock Standard comes with a crisp, factory 4- to 6-pound trigger to give you a great experience right out of the box.

Weird burs on beavertail which wears between thumb and pointer finger, that’s only gripe, runs flawless and is very accurate but a lil snappy compared to other 1911’s I own and I’m guessing it’s the small guiderod idk anyways great gun and good price just wish they wud HV smoothed that beavertail a lil better.

Initial thoughts upon inspection was the pistol looked well made with a number of upgrades. Cleaned it and went to the range. 230 FMJ. Pistol fired flawlessly. No problems. Weighs about 40 0z. which I prefer. Comfortable recoil and accurate. Can be upgraded more; grips, sights, etc. starting with a well made basic pistol at a great price. I own a Kimber 5″ and like this commander length pistol. I highly recommend it; buy one and you won’t be disappointed.
